Hello everyone!
This is the first post of D.O.R’s blog and I must say I’m very excited with the idea of sharing my music, work and thoughts with you all.
Lew me explain a little of what I’ll be doing around here. Basically I’ll be showing all of my creation process, how I come up with ideas, how I work, what I use to work, and stuff like that. Soon I’ll also be launching some videos on Youtube so you can get a better look at me (oh noes!) and check out my working place and my gear.
If you are already interested (or not) and want to check some of my recent work, I have a MySpace and a Soundcloud account with some tunes uploaded.
I also want to make it clear that this is not a tutorial blog. It’s just a personal music blog where I’ll be showing what I’m used to do. Certainly there will be things that I might do the hard/wrong way so please keep that in mind when reading. I’ll be showing just the way I’m used to do it.
Ok, so I explained what this blog is about, but what exactly do I do? Well, I’m a musician and music producer from Brazil currently focused on electronic music genres. My work covers the whole creation process of making a song: ideas, composing, choosing tones and sounds, arranging, mixing and mastering. Most times I do this alone, but sometimes I’ll have friends or partners to work with. I’ll get mor into this on future posts.
Since this is only an introduction post I think I’ll leave to that. The last thing I would like to say is that my English isn’t very good, so please excuse me for any mistakes I make on my posts or videos. I’m working on it and hope to get better soon enough.
